Calendar of gene regulation events online
The calendar below lists webinars and meetings relevant to gene regulation. All times below are in GMT (London, UK). The link to export these events to Outlook or Google Calendar is at the bottom of this page. The calendar below includes all virtual events related to gene regulation, not limited to those organised by Fragile Nucleosome. To add your own virtual event that is not yet in our list, please email [email protected]. For a list of conferences and schools in the area of gene regulation, see the separate page “conferences, meetings and schools”. Also, have a look at complementary lists of webinars at The Node (developmental biology and related subjects), Physics of Life (biophysics) and mathseminars.org (mathematics & physics).

EMBO Workshop: Physiology and function of histone variants
September 22, 2021 - September 24, 2021
The modulation of chromatin structure and function is the basis of epigenetic regulation. The replacement of replication-coupled histones in the nucleosome by histone variants is still one of the least understood aspects of chromatin regulation. Advances in recent years have made clear that histone variantsplay a pivotal role in development and cancer. We will discuss the latest molecular insights into how histone variants are regulated and how they execute their epigenetic function.
This workshop is the fourth of a focused series on histone variants, and will be the first to be organized in a hybrid format. Given the current health situation affecting travel and our ability to congregate in large numbers, this workshop will consist of 40 in-person participants and 100 additional participants to connect online. These numbers will be revised accordingly if the situation changes. We will adapt the workshop program to make this hybrid format as interactive and intimate as possible for both in-person and virtual participants.
