The Chromatin Club Cologne (CCC) was founded by Dr. Peter Tessarz (MPI for Biology of Ageing, Cologne, Germany) and Dr. Matthias Spiller-Becker (Active Motif, Carlsbad, CA USA). This bi-annual scientific event aims to connect researchers within North Rhine-Westphalia, promote scientific exchange, and to facilitate networking between students, postdocs, and PIs interested in chromatin research. The CCC is open to all researchers within Cologne, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Aachen, Duisburg, Essen, Bochum, Dortmund, Leverkusen, Wuppertal, Münster, and Bielefeld.
The scientific focus of the club is broad, and we intend to bridge basic, applied, and translational epigenetics research. In each CCC event, we will host multiple speakers for an afternoon to discuss epigenetics in ageing, cancer, immunology, metabolism, and related fields.
Attendance is free of charge but registration is mandatory.
